Dawes Highway Safety Ltd

DHS-Logo-Yellow-border-&-URL-550mm-x-550mm

Stand: J8

Created by a former Metropolitan police Sergeant, the DROP DOWN® safety system is designed to offer protection to vulnerable road users in the event of a collision with a large vehicle.

Unlike driver visibility aids, it is permanently deployed while on the public road, closing the gap between existing under-run bars and the road surface. Therefore it is always ready to keep people away from the underside of the body when they could otherwise enter the path of the wheels.

The system has been developed with leaders from the construction and cycling communities to reduce injuries while meeting the needs of vehicle operators. It is fully retractable returning the required ground clearance for on-site use and not susceptible contaminant ingress. Furthermore it is completely British manufactured using only the highest quality components.

Dawes Highway Safety is happy to announce this important new safety technology which will be available early 2016.

large_bar_PANTONE_1Volvo Trucks are delighted to be supporting Freight in the City. As a global manufacturer of trucks, we are closely involved in working with operators in all sectors to deliver transport solutions that help reduce vehicle whole life operating costs, lower emissions (including noise), assist compliance and keep drivers, cyclists and pedestrians safe. ‘Care for the Environment’ and ‘Safety’ are two of Volvo’s core values and our commitment have not changed in the last 87 years.

With the need for improved air quality in cities and the introduction of the Ultra-Low Emission Zone for London, Volvo Trucks believes that Euro-6 is currently the best possible solution – demonstrating comparable and even better fuel usage in all delivery environments than Euro-5. Furthermore, Volvo Trucks and its dealers are totally focused on helping transport operators meet the challenges of the logistics industry in the urban delivery environment today and in the future.

RETORQUE SYSTEM is now in the public domain, and will, we believe dramatically cut the amount of road wheel detachments. RETORQUE SYSTEM has three elements, a new wheel nut indicator which highlights wheels that have recently been removed and require retightening, a web based reporting system which for the first time highlights to the transport manager when a RETORQUE has not been reported as complete, and a vehicle specific torque wrench.
RETORQUE SYSTEM seeks hauliers to engage in wheel nut monitor trials, come and see us!
VWS Vehicle Weighing Solutions will be on hand to discuss ,weight over load protection for vehicles , on board and bin weighing and their fixed and portable axle weigh bridge range of products.
