As a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner and Chartered Safety Practitioner, he is a recognised expert in his professional field and advises clients on food safety, health & safety and all areas on environmental health.
Having worked in enforcement for two London Boroughs and for a large multinational company, Rob has considerable knowledge and experience in these areas and a vast active network of business experts throughout all sectors. Rob was a founder of the EHP benchmarkers group including many retailers and other business, such as Tesco, McDonalds, British Petroleum, Asda, Compass BP etc. that regularly meet to discuss best practice, share experiences and find solutions to business issues.
Prior to joining Ashfords, Rob was Policy and Regulatory Manager HSEQ for Sainsburys, a company with over 150,000 colleagues in over 1,200 locations, and 25 million customers per week. He managed the team providing provision of support to all business sectors of Sainsburys relating to food safety, health & safety and environmental health/ environment.
Rob chairs the Chartered Institute Of Environmental Health London Food and Safety Group, is on the Management Committee of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety Retail and Distribution Group, and is a Board Director of the Society of Food Hygiene and Technology.
