Jim is programme manager of the ECO Stars (Efficient Cleaner Operations) Fleet Recognition Scheme, which operates across the UK. ECO Stars is an efficiency-based programme that provides commercial vehicle fleet operators with a fuel-management assessment and action plan based on industry best practice. Jim’s background includes operational management of freight transport at depot and regional level, with responsibilities that included auditing transport operations for legal compliance and operational efficiency. He has worked closely in the management and delivery of driver training and testing, including the roll out of the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence and eco driving. As a consultant, Jim has managed programmes and projects that include fuel management and driver training.
