Lionel Curtis

Technical Director, Cartwright Group

Joining Cartwright in 2014, Lionel brought a wealth of experience having been involved in large commercial vehicles, trucks, buses and earthmoving equipment for more than 23 years. Commencing his career in the motor industry in 1989, Lionel worked on hybrid and electric vehicles. A graduate of the Royal Military College of Science, Lionel also has a Cranfield engineering degree. He served his apprenticeship as a toolmaker and prior to studying for his degree he worked through the design offices. Lionel is chairman of the SMMT Trailer and Bodywork Technical Committee and a Fellow of the IMechE. Since joining Cartwright Lionel has been instrumental in delivering a number of new products within the Cartwright portfolio including the company’s exciting new fridge products.
