Peter Molyneux

Head of Highways, Transport for Greater Manchester

Peter has more than 35 years’ experience working in local government, mainly in the highways and traffic engineering field. Peter joined TfGM in April 2014 and has responsibility for the design and maintenance of all traffic signals and intelligent traffic systems for Greater Manchester (GM), together with traffic modelling, road safety and the city region’s road permit scheme. He also manages TfGM’s multi-modal control centre. Peter is leading the strategic development and deployment of a coherent, GM-wide approach for all highways activity as part of the devolution agenda. This forms part of a wider initiative to deliver an integrated transport network for GM that meets the customer and wider stakeholder needs to make travel easier in GM.
