TFL
London’s population is growing and is forecast to reach 10 million by 2031. This will mean higher demand for goods and services.
Freight deliveries are vital to London’s sustained economic growth and around 90 per cent of all freight moves by road in London. Our team enable London to get goods and services at the right time and place, in a safe, clean and efficient way, to support the Capital’s economy and growth.
We have a series of programmes that can help reduce congestion, improve air quality and road safety, and create better trading environments.

The scheme provides recognition for best operational practices, and guidance for making improvements. The ultimate aim is to reduce fuel consumption which naturally leads to fewer vehicle emissions and has the added benefit of saving money.

ECO Stars is delighted to be supporting Freight in the City – an event which shares many of our values and ambitions for cleaner and more efficient fleet operations.
FTA
FTA is of the strong belief that the multimodal approach has to be the solution to logistics delivery infrastructure in the north west of England. It is important for our members that freight and logistics have a say in the development of freight routes in the approach taken by the Northern Powerhouse. The freight and logistics strategy currently being developed by Transport for the North is at an important stage which shows there is a need to improve a multimodal approach, road rail and water. FTA is delighted to be an Associate Partner of the 2016 Freight in the City Spring Summit where we can highlight these and other issues.
