Richard has a hands-on role in two Manchester start-ups: Last Mile Logistics, (last mile deliveries using modern cargo bikes), and Cycle Waggle, (bike hire and bike tours). He is a founding director of the European Cycle Logistics Federation and advisor to the EU-funded Cycle Logistics Ahead project. Richard has specialised in sustainable transport innovation for more than 37 years in many guises: low-floor buses to cleaner fuels (EV, CNG); car sharing clubs; personalised journey planning and residential travel plans. Richard is non-executive chairman of public transport specialist The TAS Partnership; independent chairman of West Yorkshire Ticketing Co; and until recently, chair of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport’s Cycle Forum for the past five years.y.”
